1. Why should I install door sill protectors? What’s wrong with the factory sills?
The refreshed Model Y Juniper comes with carpeted (felt-like) door sills. While they look clean at first, they easily trap dust, dirt, and moisture. Mud and stains can soak in and are hard to fully clean. Over time, frequent foot traffic also causes fraying and wear.
Adding TPE door sill protectors fully covers these areas, making them waterproof, easy to wipe clean, and much more durable—while also giving your interior a more finished look.
2. What materials are available, and which one is better?
