One of the best things about the Model Y is definitely the insane amount of trunk space. I keep a bunch of emergency gear down in the sub-trunk, but lifting that heavy floor panel has always been a pain since Tesla didn't include a proper handle.
I also run a full trunk mat to keep things clean. I tried a leather pull-strap before, but it created a weird bump and wouldn't let the mat sit flush.
Enter this simple little strap—literally just a sturdy fabric loop with a strip of Velcro. But man, it works like a charm! The Velcro grip is super strong, and because it lays totally flat, my trunk mat sits perfectly flush right over top.
Super helpful little mod that solved a daily annoyance. As always, time will tell how the Velcro holds up long-term, but I’ll update if anything changes. Highly recommend for any Model Y owner!
Such a simple idea but makes a big difference. Way easier to pull the trunk cover down without fumbling. Blends in and feels secure. Definitely worth it.
This works perfectly for the back storage area of the Model Y. Tesla didn't provide easy access to the storage area, but this little strap makes it super-convenient. Although it's a simple pull strap, it's a quality item at a price that beats all the other Tesla aftermarket providers.
This product is great! I mean, there is no need for me to post a picture because the product is as advertised. I wish Tesla thought about this, but the price is good enough for the purpose of this product. I honestly love it, and it’s also very helpful and easy to attach.
Does the job
Fast and easy installation in seconds! I put these straps on both the rear and front sides of the trunk covers, so I can easily lift and remove the panels, either from the rear hatch door or while I reach in from the rear passenger doors (when rear seats are folded down).
Perfect to lift the tight storage cover panels in the newer Model Y. Should be OEM.

This is a great upgrade to the standard black & white puddle lights from Tesla. The blue color is a good compliment to the juniper badge!
1 stars for I ordered this lip for my 2026 Model 3 Highland. I couldn't install it without leaving a gap, which prevented it from adhering properly to the rocker panel. I contacted the seller, and although they repeatedly suggested installation methods, nothing worked. However, it fit much better on a 2022 Model 3. And yet, I am very experienced with this type of installation.
